Review and Goals: July and August

So, July was really slow. I’m okay with it though. I was getting to a point where I wasn’t making it fun for myself. I ended up reading a lot of books. I went on a reading binge basically. I played some video games again.

I feel refreshed and refocused. I’m ready and excited to be putting content out. Because of that, I’m inspired again. I was really just running on empty and starting to force it. I wrote, without the intention of publishing, and now I’m ready to publish a whole bunch of different pieces. Go figure.

Since I did take this hiatus, I didn’t hit a lot of my goals. However, I’m still feeling positive about July as a whole. If anything, it really set me up for the rest of August.

Successful July goals: Pinterest views and engagement and Facebook likes. Honestly, that’s pretty awesome. Thank you if you’re keeping up with my social media accounts.

For August, I’m going to try and get less view focused. I want my main focuses to be on good content and interaction with others. I think before I was trying to make everything else revolve around my focus on getting views.

Main Goals

  • Write 2-3 posts a week. I don’t have to post all of them. I just want to get and keep words flowing.
  • Brainstorm and create newsletter freebies
  • Finish three books.
  • Exercise more regularly than usual

Bonus Goals

  • 120 weekly views
  • Continued increase in Pinterest views and engagement
  • Get consistent and better with Facebook
  • Interact on Twitter more

All right, there we have it. I’m excited to be back. I’m looking forward to the things I have planned and am looking forward to our next review and goals session. I’m thinking this month will be good!

What are your goals for the month? Let me know how I can help in the comments!

  1. I wish you all the best with your goals! Slow months happen all the time, I’m finding August very slow for me at the moment. I suspect it’s because of the schools being off or all the kids getting ready to go back. It’ll pick up again in September time I’m sure. Keep the faith!

  2. Slow months happen sometimes. I find the break will often lead to you finding what you really need to focus on and do it. Good luck with your goals; I have none and prefer to go with the flow but to each their own. 🙂
